FAQ's

  1. What is the review process for a product donation?
    Once an application is received, a committee reviews it to ensure all Giving Guidelines are met and if the request for product can be honored (i.e., can we fulfill the number of caps requested, etc.). If the guidelines are met and the product request can be honored, the application will be approved, taken out of “pending mode” and processed. A confirmation e-mail and donation will be sent out.

    If the request is not approved, the organization will receive an e-mail explaining why the request was denied.
  2. My organization is conducting a fundraiser and we are interested in having prizes or auction items donated, who should I contact?
    New Era CARES does provide prizes/auction items for fundraisers as long as the organization hosting the fundraiser is a 501 ©3. Your tax id number should be placed in the slot available.
  3. I submitted a request for a donation and would like to find out the status?
    Donation requests are reviewed monthly. Due to the volume of requests, we ask that you allow 4-6 weeks for a response.
  4. Is there a maximum quantity of product that an organization can receive from New Era?
    Yes, the maximum number of caps we will donate for one event is 144 caps, or 12 dozen. This is true whether you are requesting custom caps or excess inventory.
  5. Who approves product donation requests?
    A designated New Era CARES committee reviews the applications.
  6. Does New Era make donations to international programs?
    At this time, we do not accept international donations. However, we are working towards that over the next year.
  7. My nonprofit organization is interested in purchasing discounted items from New Era, who should I contact? Please contact Denise Reinhard in Customer Service. She can be reached via e-mail at denise.reinhard@neweracap.com or by calling (716) 604- 9000 ext. 1248.
  8. Does New Era make donations to individuals or families?
    No. New Era only makes donations to 501©(3) non-profit organizations that match of our Areas of Focus.
